This was the final release of Mac OS X 10.4 for both platforms. It has the build number 8S165 for PowerPC and 8S2167 for Intel.
I have connected a newer iMac also with OS X 10.11.5. 2007 Mac OS X 10.4.11 'Tiger' ( PowerPC) Mac OS X 10.4.11 is an update for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) that was released by Apple on November 14, 2007. I have Connected to another AppleTV, Same vintage, with the same results. If I Then Switch to a Separate Display, once Mirrored, the Contents of the AppleTV display is the remnants of the last Mirrored Display and where ever the mouse was, it Flickers when ever I move content to that Display.
I already did a full re-install of El Capitan OS X 10.11.1. To set whether your desktop matches the size of the Mac screen or the TV screen, click the AirPlay status icon then. The AirPlay HTML5 extension seems to also work fine. Click the Screen Mirroring icon in the Control Center, then choose your Apple TV. AirPlay mirroring of OS X with a Youtube video playing seems to work fine. Make sure your Mac and Apple TV are on the same network. If I move a Window from the Mirror display to another display, there is a copy of the window left on the AppleTV Display. Airplay shows only the 'off' option under Settings/ Displays. AirPlay Mirroring lets you send what’s on your Mac to an HDTV wirelessly with Apple TV. I see this on the Display I'm Mirroring and the AirPlay Display. If I mirror my Display, I can see the Contents of the Screen, but the Update/refresh of just moving the mouse is like I'm using a Windows PC and the Pointer leaves a Block Trail where the screen needs to be refreshed. When Connecting as a Separate Display right off the Bat, The TV goes from AppleTV Icons to a Green Screen and I cannot get anything to show up on the TV. I'm trying to use a Apple TV Gen3 v7.2.1 (8011) to Connect my iMac via AirPlay to the TV as a Separate Display.
If you have a Mac, this guide focuses on how to AirPlay from a Mac to an AirPlay receiver available on your network. It has 2 External Displays connected via the Lightning ports. AirPlay enables you to stream content from your compatible device to an AirPlay receiver. I have a Late 2012 iMac with OS X 10.11.5.
